The Albayzín and Sacromonte quarters are both World Heritage sites. Two of the most charming and colorfull areas in town with lots of history.
You can stroll through the Albayzin at sunset, walk the maze of narrow winding streets scented with jasmin, enjoy the breathtaking views of the Alhambra and contemplate the Carmenes Gardens (typical Moorish houses). This is the way to follow its Moorish roots. A deligth to the senses.
The Sacromonte quarter is where the gypsies that accompanied the troops of the Catholic Monarchs settled after the town was reconquered. Its famous for its caves, where the gipsys continue to celebrate their fiestas with flamenco dancing and singing. It was here where the tradicional Zambra was born, with local dances and songs which are still enjoyed every evening.
The route begins late afternoon. The group will be able to enjoy the views of the Alhambra a number of times throughout the evening.
After the guided walking tour, all the members of the group will be treated to a drink and tapa, typical custom in Granada.
